Welcome to Charlie Hodges.com

My home on the World Wide Web

Welcome to my website
There is not much to this place yet, but I'll add more things as time goes on. My name is Charlie Hodges. I'm a radio man who currently works with Ward Whites on a mid day sports talk show on Fox Sports Radio 1460. It's a cool show, and I hope you have a chance to stop in and give us a listen . Before being hired to work at KHFX in Fort Worth, which later became KCLE in Cleburne and Burleson, I worked for CBS Radio in Dallas, reporting for KRLD and anchoring on the Texas State Network.

Here are a few pictures to share. This is my family. Lisa is on the left, Tommy is next to her, Bobby has the camera in his hand and is next to me, and I'm on the right. This was taken in the home dugout of one of the best ballparks in the world: Old Yankee Stadium. We took a tour that took us to Monument Park, on the field, in the dugout, and into the pressbox. This is a day we'll never forget during a vacation to New York City that we will definitely never forget.

During the same trip, we went to a wonderful Italian restaurant called Dominico's. It's just a couple blocks from Grand Central Station. Joining us at the meal are two very special people. Mike and Char Turrigiano, on the left, are the pastors of the North Brooklyn Vineyard. It's a wonderful startup church that meets on Sunday mornings in a school and on Sunday nights in the Trash Bar in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. I listen to Mike's sermons I download from iTunes. If you have questions about the power, Love and promise of Jesus after seeing Bill Maher's new movie, catch Mike's sermons. Through Mike's words and guidance from the Bible, you'll find your answers.

This is a famly picture taken with my Dad, next to me in the back row, and Lisa, who's to the left of me, and a few - I'm serious a few - of my cousins and their spouses. There's not a day that goes by that I don't miss them.

Family Ties!!

Since the Yankees are out of the playoffs, and the Orioles and Rangers didn't have a chance, I'm going to root for one of the two teams I rooted for as a kid. The Philadelphia Phillies. I remember my dad taking me to old Connie Mack Stadium, also known as Shibe Park, to see the Phils. To learn more about the old ballpark, click on the link above
